Congrats to long time member Chuck Hodges, who's short story "Twentieth of July", which went through several rounds of the critique groups, recently won first place in the Writer's Digest  annual short story contest in the sci-fi category. Chuck says, "...this review/critique/(especially) mutual support process really does work. I could not, literally, have done this without you guys."

Karen Whalen's novel, Everything Bundt the Truth was recently picked up by Wild Rose Press. Several sections of the novel went through the ten- page and fifty-page critique groups. Publication date is pending, but will likely be late 2016.

Congrats to our 2015 Hecla Award Winners! From left to right: Evie Green (First Place, Fiction), Heidi Ellis (Second Place, Fiction), and Tim Brown (First Place, Memoir). Not pictured, Julie Hagy (Second Place, Memoir). Great job you guys!

Congrats to Susan Harper! Her short story, "Liberty", which went through several critique sessions, was just accepted for publication by Fiction on the Web.
